ABOUT

IAN SAUDE

Creative director and co-founder of IAN SAUDE INC, has been working in design and fashion since 1996. Ian was born in Hollywood, CA and was raised on the California Central Coast. He attended U.C. Berkeley where he graduated with honors, studying English Literature and Classics. He has traveled extensively, spending over 14 years living and working in Asia. In addition to his own work, he has consulted extensively for other designers and companies, focusing primarily on sourcing and private label product development.

One of our major goals as a business and a major reason for creating showrooms with library resources is to bring more diverse, high-quality architectural resources to parts of the country where it can be challenging to find those solutions.

There are great projects happening all over the country. Nevertheless, although architects, designers & builders may have cutting edge ideas, they are often challenged to find the right materials and knowledgable support staff to service the geographical areas where their projects are located. Often, that is where we step in. Working with hundreds of local, regional and international resources, we aim to help clients find attractive, workable solutions to make their projects shine.

Our showrooms are geared towards design professionals. The goal is to create working spaces for architects, designers and builders to source the surfaces and other design elements that will elevate and transform your projects. To create inspiring projects, however, first you need to be inspired, yourself.

The most successful projects usually start with a great team. An architect can have fantastic ideas, but the client and builder must understand them and see their value. Designers must not only have the ability to convey their design-intent but also to assemble the right tradespeople, who care — skilled people who can see their vision and help turn it into a reality. Our goal is to create spaces that help make that collaboration happen.
